Here I Come

So the green mermaid has drawn me into her lure. Tuesday was my first day or "first impressions" and I got to experience the high life of coffee. It was a neat experience and I look forward to what the future holds. I got to do some coffee tasting and began learning all of the names of drinks that coffee snobs rave about.
I think one of my favorite things that I'm going to like about working here is the fact that about 75% of the employees attend FLC. It's a great opportunity to get encouraged by other believers but at the same time being a great witness to those who are not believers.

Our Home

So I said I'd put up pictures of our apartment once it was done. Well I don't feel like it's really done but it's probably as close as it's going to get for awhile.

Fireworks aren't illegal

A fire just behind our street.

Due to a firework exploding.

We all ran to see what happened and the boys got close and much better pictures

Service in the park

Update

Hello all! I just thought I'd give a little rundown before I head off to service in the Park of what's been going on with us since we moved to Montana.

First things first, no we don't have jobs. Johnny has finally been able to carve some time to start looking but we have both been so busy helping with all the events here at fresh life that it's been difficult to sit down on the Internet and job hunt (since that's how everything is done these days) and it doesn't help that we don't even have Internet at our house so we can't just do it late in the evening while we're at home. We have come to the decision that I will not get a job until after we are done hosting our guests. Kelli O'hea is staying with us next week and some time in August my family should be coming up. In the meantime, I will help with whatever they need me for at the church and work on developing my cake business. Hopefully the cakes take off and I won't ever have to get a job.

We moved into our apartment about 2 weeks ago and, since neither of us are working, settled in quickly. We bought a new couch and table set since we left both those things behind. I love our apartment and will post pictures as soon as everything is finalized. The only thing we're really missing now is some tall bookshelves and a tall dresser.

No there is no baby. I am not pregnant as far as I know. However, we're no longer opposed to the idea and would welcome a baby if God chose that now was the time. I'll let you all know if God moves in that direction for us.

Ministry is GREAT! Johnny has had the opportunity to teach 4 times already and there are more opportunities just around the corner. We had to move ahead of schedule and I went and bought him a desk for our room because he really needed his own place. We're so excited to see what God is going to do in him. I have been helping with Adored (the high/mid school girls) and the children's ministry and learning what I can to try and take a little bit off each of the women's shoulders. All are so busy and I want to help where ever they need me. We love the church and feel so at home. We know this is where God has us and love being here. We love the city, the fellowship, the new people, everything!

I think that's it for now. I'm working on updating our web page with pics and will let you know when we do. We miss you all Family back home!!! We can't wait for you to visit!

So today i am studying for Active tomorrow morning. This is the third time i have gotten to teach, and i am super stoked for my fourth time!
Our kitchen table has been turned into my desk to study. It looks like a mess but i suprisingly know where everything is at.
I have some Bible dictionaries, commentaries, two notebooks, 5 different color pens, three Bibles, water, mountain dew, a half eaten chicken sandwich, kleenex, my iPod and of course my Macbook. Wish me luck!

Mullet

I cut this and i'm ashamed.

Toasty

Can't beat a campfire at the lake. That bottom one was burning through the center first!

My new friend Carrie

Twins! We completely didn't plan this at all. She's also the one that has a cupcake obsession and we've jokingly talked about going into business together.

KaBoom!

4th of July on Foy's Lake

The college ministry at Fresh Life got to hang out on a private island on Foy's today and there was intertubing, hot dogs, badmitton, and fun! We didn't show up until later on at 6 but it was still fun! There are no firework laws in Montana and it rained today, so there were no worries of fires and the fireworks were awesome!

Pop

Coy being Coy.

Happy 4th of July!

Kalispell Memorial.

We went on a bike ride this morning in search of garage sales only to find that the Kalispell community is incredibly patriotic. Main street was lined with flags and people were making themselves comfortable for the parade 45 minutes before it was going to start. There were NO garage sales (everyone went to the lakes) but we did come across this memorial and it seemed fitting.

New table

We're so excited! We love it, this picture isn't the greatest but I'm sure you'll see it again in some other pic

New couch

It kinda blends in with the walls but it's also really versatile for other homes we may have and it's nothing that some colorful pillows or wall art can't remedy.

So nice

Our weather the last couple days, cool and rainy. Its beautiful.

Fun, rainy night in Lakeside

That's right. there is a movable wall in this house.

This is the "Barn" of the man that built the original Fresh Life Church building for Levi over a year and a half ago. Josh Bowers was house sitting for him and was staying in his barn. The "Barn" has 3 bedrooms, a conference room, a large kitchen, a home theater, and a great room that not only holds the couches you see before you, but also a pool table, small basketball court and ping pong table. 3 of the 4 walls have garage doors as the part of the wall so that when it is summer, you can see straight through. It's raining really hard in this picture and we have the door open, it was such a weird sensation. Also on the property was the mans regular house, a guest house with 3 car garage, and stables. So crazy!

Our first married laundromat experience.

We're lucky to have made it this long!

Time to wash clothes!

It was 2.50 a load or 3.50 for the big washers. We ended up only washing and it was $15! We took all the wet cloths and towels home, hung what we could, and took the rest to Alaina's. WE SOOOO need our own washer and dryer! Let us know if you see anything in the paper up here.
