Carrie's Birthday

We celebrated Carrie's Birthday last night at my house. It was a surprise birthday party (which turned out to not be so much a surprise) that was themed as a Black & White Party. Everything was Black & White: the napkins, plates, cupcakes, our clothes, the decor, even the play-list! It was so much fun! Carrie knew there was a party but didn't know it was themed or who was coming. We had delicious snacks on a beautiful table display.

We decorated all over my little apartment. That gift right there was the only gift she got. A KITCHEN AIDE! We all pitched in to get her one. She loves making cupcakes and baking (I keep trying to convince her to go into business with me). She was so happy she cried a little.

We also had activities! Well one activity... We decorated Valentines cookies! Carrie wanted to do it closer to Valentines Day but that might not work out so we got to do it at her party! It was a lot of fun and it's always great to see all the different creativity.

Sara was sure to make a Mickie Mouse cookie for Emma. It's super cute!

Here are my cookies! I like the bottom right ones the best.

This is Juliet! She just moved up her and is the wife of Travis, the new high school pastor. She's showing off one of the cupcakes I decorated.

That looks so fun! Just one question...how was the playlist black and white?

Songs that have the word black or white in them. Like Black magic, doesn't matter if your black or white, etc. Some of the songs were crazy!
